Mr. Jimmy Ellroy

I am so tired and all I want to do is read my James Ellroy. That guy is such a great writer. Seriously, you honchos have no idea, even the ones who dislike reading intensely would be able to appreciate it. It's great. I think James Ellroy and Chuck Pahliniuk (or whatever his last name is, you know the guy I'm talking about) are two of my favorite contemporary writers.

In other news:
- I might be running off to Ohio sometime soon.
- I rented a movie on Thursday and I have yet to return it so my late fee is going to be enormous.
- There are ants in our kitchen again and I do not like ants. They are almost as scary as spiders but not quite. When I see a whole bunch of them together it makes my skin absolutely crawl.

That reminds me, there's this place in Texas or Arizona or New Mexico (it's one of those desert states) where tarantulas migrate to and they do it in huge numbers so there's this swarm of tarantulas somewhere in the desert and people go to certain points on the migration path to watch them. That is one of the worst things I have ever heard and you can be sure that if I were somehow forced to go there and watch that spectacle, I would die of horror. Or at least hyperventilate and then pass out.

Well, I had better get back to concentrating on making the last thirty minutes of work go faster so that I can get home and read some Jimmy Ellroy. So I'm off, you goons!

i've never heard of those writers.
goons is an underutilized word. i think i'll make it a part of my regular vocabulary.

you can thank callie jo for the revival of goon. she calls me that sometimes.

also, i think that even you would like those writers traever. chuck wrote "fight club" and jimmy wrote "l.a. confidential." they're both pretty good.
